About the Club

Julia Sutherland is the pack leader of the Superfly Canine Club. She is a certified professional dog trainer in the use of the Companion Concept program 2000 M. Brunton. Ms. Sutherland and the Superfly Canine Club are proud member of the The Agility Association of Canada(AAC), which keeps her continuously up to date on new ideas and training techniques in the agility world.
Along with her schooling from the North Shore Canine Training Academy and Services, Julia also has the ongoing pleasure and experience of training her own dog pack members in advanced obedience and Agility. As an Agility instucter Julia feels that it is important to train and compete her own dogs inorder to stay as involved in the sport of Agility as possible. Julia started competing her first dog, Sophia, a pitbull/Lab cross in 2002 and the team has achived their ADC, SGDC,VAADC, and VMADC. Before retiring Sophia, due to age and kneeinjury, Julia was thrilled to qualify with Sophia in the 2006 AAC Regional trial and runin the 2006 AAC Nationals. Sophia also has her Canadian Good Neighbor (CGN) certification. Julai also runs her Miniature Pincher, Spike, and they have achieved their SADC, SSGDC and are well on thier way to SAADC and SAGDC. Nitro, Julia's Border Collie, is working hard for his ADC and the new pup, Ceasar, a hard working German Shephard will hit the Agility scene when he is old enough in 2008.
All of Julia's training techniques focus on positive reinforcement and building self-confidence in your family pet in a patient and enthusiastic atmosphere...and of course we like to have loads of tails wagging fun!
